THE WIDESPREAD CONSEQUENCES OF TRAUMA:

The Osteopathic Approach to the School Age Child and Adolescent
San Diego, November 3-7, 2008

Dr Viola M Frymann and Dr. Shawn K. Centers cordially invite you to an intermediate course in the Principles and Science of Osteopathy as it applies to the school age child, the preteen, and teenager.

Most traditional osteopaths are very familiar with the treatment approach to the newborn and infant whose dysfunction may result primarily from the trauma of birth. However, many are less familiar with the unique aspects of the older child and teenager whose issues may be the consequence of years of compensation from that trauma and the introduction of many new traumas.

This five day course (November 3- 7, 2008) will examine the little talked about Osteopathic approach to the school age child and adolescent. This hands-on intensive course will teach many never before presented, advanced principles of Osteopathy as taught by Drs. Andrew Taylor Still, William G. Sutherland and Viola M. Frymann.

Participation requires as least two prior 40 hour cranial courses. The mornings will be dedicated to in an in-depth discussion of Osteopathy by a number of well known guest lecturers. The afternoons will consist of comprehensive practical experiences in palpation and treatment directed by Dr. Frymann's well trained team of faculty.

Come learn about the uniquely osteopathic approach to:
  • Sports Medicine
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Diet and Nutrition
  • Problems of the Child Athlete and Performing Artist
  • The Spiritual and Energetic aspect of a child's changing body
  • The child with Orthodontics, Scoliosis, Allergies and Asthma, and more
We invite you to expand your knowledge in the Principles and Science of Osteopathy at the Osteopathic Center for Children in San Diego from November 3-7, 2008. This course is sponsored by Osteopathy's Promise to Children.
